(3-year) agent-based model (ABM) postdoctoral researcher job at UCD, Ireland

project : Studying Peer Review IN Grants (SPRING)

The UCD School of Information and Communication Studies and the School
of Sociology are hiring an ABM postdoctoral researcher (3-year
position) to work on the UCD SFI SPRING project.

The postdoctoral researcher will work in a research team focused on
developing an ABM approach to understand important factors and
processes regarding peer review at SFI. The project involves gathering
and analysing data from SFI, interviews with stakeholders, documentary
evidence, observations, and workflow analysis. This is an academic
research role, where you will conduct a specified programme of
research supported by research training and development according to
UCD guidelines.

The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research
skills and competences, including the processes of publication in
peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding
proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the
opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching. The
postdoctoral researcher will work with the Principal Investigator,
Academic Collaborators at UCD, Maynooth University, and another
postdoctoral researcher.

Salary: circa 36,854 € (euros) per annum
Relocation expenses: Up to 2,000 € (euros)
