Fully funded 3-month research opportunity for junior socio-environmental systems scientists in Leipzig, Germany

We would like to draw your attention to an opportunity for junior socio-environmental systems scientists (PhD students and postdocs). The POLISES research group offers several fully funded 3-month research stays at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig, Germany, this spring/summer.
Suitable topics include: Formalising and modelling human behaviour in socio-environmental systems (SES); social networks in agent-based models of SES; different approaches to modelling food security; synthesis and comparison with model-based case studies similar to POLISES case studies (Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco); impacts on SES by strategies to cope with climate risks (such as agricultural insurance).
