1st NHR Conference - Agent-based Simulations

1st NHR Conference - Agent-based Simulations

The 1st NHR Conference, that will bring together users of High Performance Computing (HPC) on September 18./19. 2023 in Berlin, has a track on Agent-based Simulation. There will be talks in this rather new field by Rob Axtell and Gary Polhill; further contributions are very welcome. If you are using HPC to run your ABMs, or would like to do so to speed up your simulations, please consider submitting an abstract to share your results, experience, and/or challenges encountered.

Background: NHR (Nationales HochleistungsRechnen) is the federally and state-funded alliance of nine High Performance Computing (HPC) centers for university research in Germany: http://www.nhr-verein.de/en. The conference will focus on selected topics each year. This year, apart from Agent-based Simulations, the topics are Atomistic Simulations and Life Sciences.

With top-class keynote speakers and further lectures on this year’s scientific topics, the conference will provide the basis for a scientific exchange beyond disciplinary boundaries. By presenting your research in a talk or poster, you are invited to initiate discussions with other scientists.

NHR is made for science and so you are asked to provide impetus to make NHR meet your needs. Consulting, and operator staff will participate in the program, and there will be lots of opportunities for one-on-one meetings as well as panel discussions.
