Job Title: Associate Professor in Computer/Data Science
Location: IQS School of Engineering, Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona, Spain
Position Overview: IQS School of Engineering is seeking an Associate Professor in the area of Computer/Data Science to join the Department of Mathematics and Data Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and other academic duties starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching: Deliver core courses in mathematics, statistics, and computer/data science at both undergraduate and master’s levels. Practical Labs: Lead practical lab sessions in computer/data science and related areas. Research: Conduct research in priority topics aligned with IQS and Ramon Llull University’s scientific policy. Integrate and coordinate with the department’s research activities. Project Proposals: Actively participate in research project proposals, technology transfer, outreach events, and competitive funding applications. Collaboration: Foster internal and international research partnerships and collaborate with other professors and researchers at IQS. Requirements:
Academic Qualifications: A PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Experience: Demonstrated experience in teaching and research in relevant areas. Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Research: Proven track record of research publications and participation in research projects.
