Modeling the Emergence of Riots 1.3.0

This ABM serves as an initial prototype for modeling riots in an urban area, with the Kibera slum serving as the case study. It explores the role humanistic needs theory, individual identity, collective social identity, and social influence play on rumor dynamics and the spread of ethnic stereotyping in the outbreak of riots. An ABM is integrated with social network analysis (SNA) and geographic information systems (GIS) for this purpose.

I want to study the model, but i can not run it. Can you give me some instruction?

Hi, To run this model, you will need to install Mason and geomason using an IDE such as Eclipse. Instructions / guidance to install mason etc can be found at https://cs.gmu.edu/~eclab/projects/mason/ and geomason at https://cs.gmu.edu/~eclab/projects/mason/extensions/geomason/ Hopefully this helps.
